He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UC San Diego. Pursuing his passion for eye care, he moved to New York to obtain his Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry.

After graduation, Dr. Lam returned to Southern California, where he spent three years refining his skills in privately owned practices, corporate-chained optometry settings, and LASIK facilities. He then established his own practice in Glendale, offering comprehensive eye care services, including pediatric eye exams, contact lens fittings, eye surgery co-management, adult eye care, and dry eye management.
Driven by a desire to serve his local community, Dr. Lam returned to Monterey Park to continue his work. After the passing of Dr. Joseph Peek, he took over the care of Dr. Peek's patients, establishing MPO EyeCare in Monterey Park. In 2012, Dr. Lam moved MPO EyeCare to Alhambra to provide better accessibility to patients from surrounding areas, including San Gabriel, San Marino, Pasadena, Arcadia, Monterey Park, and Los Angeles.
Dr. Lam is dedicated to providing friendly, personal eye care and is known for his thorough, educational examinations. He specializes in Specialty Contact Lens Fitting, Myopia Management, Dry Eye Management, Glaucoma, and Vision Therapy. Since 2004, Dr. Lam has been enhancing the quality of life for his patients throughout Southern California, continuing his commitment to excellent eye care at MPO EyeCare.
