I've been through a lot of optometrist having bad eyes for over 35 years and finally met a doctor who really takes care of of vision issues so meticulously! If you're looking for a quality optometrist who takes their time to give you a precise prescription, try MPO. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. I can see why they are super busy with appointments too. Living out in OC, it's worth it for me to drive out to Alhambra when I need my annual eye exams. So happy that I've found this place!

I've been coming to MPO Eyecare for a few years now and they are the best ! Dr Lam always as answers my questions and gives me good recommendations on how to keep my eyes healthy. Also they have an excellent selection of eyeglass frames and they helped me pick a pair of frames that made me feel younger ! Thank you MPO and see you again soon

We have been patients of Dr.Lam for several years. We drive down annually from the Bay Area to have our family get our glasses and eyes checked. Our son does Ortho-k with Dr.Lam. He gets a lot of Orth-k patients. He is really patient with my 12 year old son. I appreciate how he takes his time to help us each time. We should have written our reviews sooner. Thank you MPO for all these years of service and hard work !

I was referred by my friends to MPO to come see Dr.Lam for my dry eyes. Dr.Lam offered to do punctal plugs. I was hesitant, but Dr. Lam wasn't pushy about it and took his time to explain to me all the details. He offered the option of a temporary plug which was helpful to know I didn't have to commit to a permanent procedure. It was a small simple procedure and it helped alleviate my dry eye issues. I'm so glad I came in to get treated! Overall a great experience, friendly staff and was seen on time. Definitely would recommend!

I like this Opto office. Not because it's close to my home, but because the seevice is so fast and efficient. When i came back to recheck my son's glasses, they persistently took care of us very well, as friendly as they were in the very first time we bought the pair of glasses. Thanks for the quality.

So I been going to Dr. Lam since 2014. He is my and my family's optometrist even though I live in Ontario. Dr Lam and his staff are amazing. I just referred my co-workers and some of my patients (I work in a dental office) to go to him. So hopefully they take my advice and make an appointment at MPO Eyecare Optometry. I just started using Ortho K (Orthokeratology) it's hard contacts that you wear during the night while you sleep. It has been three days and I can see again without using my glasses!!! Yes it only took three days for me to be able to see again. Each person is different some take less than three days and some take more. But hey, Ortho K really works and I'm so thankful that Dr. Lam recommended the treatment to me. I'm just so happy!!!!

Friendly staff, very attentive Dr. Lam, and easy to make an appointment for the exam and for follow ups. They also offer a plan to replace your frames if you have the misfortune of breaking them, like I do at least a couple times a year. They take most insurances, FYI. Highly recommended!

I have been coming to MPO since they were in Monterey Park. I have been a loyal patient with them for over 10 years! My son's first pair of glasses was from MPO when he was 8yo! Dr.Lam is so patient and we enjoy having conversations about life with him. We look forward to our eye exams and enjoy catching up with him about sports and career/school/life advice as my son transitioned into college. Staff is always friendly and even though they are new, they are working hard to accommodate and service us. Never disappointed here!

Brought both my kids here for their eye exams (two diff trips). Each child had diff issues and Dr. Scott and his staff were patient, pleasant, and professional with them. As a "helicopter mom", I'm extremely picky with all and any doctors, etc that my kids see. Sometimes we have crappy insurance that only have crappy doctors on the list so I end up paying out of pocket just to see the doctors of my choice for them. Same case this time around with their vision insurance so thx to yelp, I decided on MPO and am sooooooo happy to say that this is going to be their optometrist from now on. Dr. Scott did a few diff things in order get the most accurate degree prescriptions for my son which was very much appreciated!

Dr Lam is a very passionate, understanding, and genuine person for the level of quality and care he puts into his work. My family has been seeing him for years. I highly recommend him and this business!

Recently came here for my annual check up, they have continued to implement Covid safety protocols, staff and dr is wearing mask , new staff very helpful and friendly. The ambience is pleasing and nice with nice background music that makes it comfortable in the waiting room. Dr.Lam also spends his time making sure you are well. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience today with MPO! The staff were friendly and helpful. I booked an appointment to see Dr. Lam since my last Optometrist couldn't fit me in contacts that I could see optimally in. I was hoping to see more clearly, I have been wearing contacts that I wish are clearer. I was recommended by a friend to give MPO a try! I'm glad I made the switch, Dr.Lam was able to educate me and offered different contact lens options for me. He specializes in overnight contact lenses which I would like to consider for a change in lifestyle. Check them out if you're looking for a clean office with great staff and Eye Doc!

Dr. Lam has been my eye doctor for years & he's great! He's very personable & knowledgeable. I joke that he always gives the hardest test. Is view 9 or 10 better? They look the same to me!! I cant tell!! Right now I'm using soft contacts and glasses as back up. I've tried the Ortho-K lenses for 2 years but they weren't for me. They work similar to retainers. You wear the hard lenses to sleep & when you wake up & take them off, you have 20/20 vision! They are temporary so you have to put them on every night. It's good for people who can't wear contracts because they work outdoors/windy areas. They were having a special & I tried them out. They have a great selection of frames. I love my Coach ones. Lots of name brand varieties also. The girls at the front are so amazing!! Everyone is super sweet & helpful! They take vision insurance so make sure to provide that. Easy parking as it is located in a big plaza with AAA, 99 Ranch & Arby's. Most of the time I find a spot right in front.

My partner had an appointment today and we were helped right away. They gave us time to choose frames we like and after choosing the final frame, the staff went over insurance details and prices on upgrading with us. The staff is knowledgeable and advised us the pros/cons of the end result. The process was smooth and we were done within an hour. Plenty of parking spaces. Can't wait to pick up the frame!

I love MPO! I've been a loyal client of theirs for over 8 years and Dr. Lam and his team truly take the best care of me. The customer service, cleanliness, problem solving & attentiveness truly keeps me coming back each year. I needed an extra pair of contacts bc I was traveling before I had my next appointment with them and Dr.Lams team accommodated and also walked me through my new insurance when I came in to pick them up. I love my conversations with Dr. Lam. He always shares amazing MENTÅL vitaminz about life and also eye care and I appreciate that so much. He's a great human and super professional in walking me through all my eye care needs. Truly love this office so much!
